Nihonga Madness digital art by Tamassia Martins
I sought to merge traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary digital techniques in Nihonga Madness. I maintained a delicate reminiscent of traditional Japanese ink wash paintings, adding vibrant digital colors and intricate details. The composition centers around a graceful cherry blossom tree, its blossoms unfurling in exquisite colorful harmony, overlooking the Japanese coast. By combining the rich cultural heritage of Nihonga with the possibilities offered by digital art, I wanted to create a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. I called it “Madness” because the final product is far busier than traditional Nihonga works.
