About Me, Tamassia Martins
Thank you for your interest in my art and for taking the time to learn more about me, Tamassia Martins.
I’m a modern artist known for my bright, colorful art and for inventing modern collaboration paintings. I’m also a writer and created My Poetry Blog, where I combine poetry with digital art influenced by my Black&Red series.
People often ask me what inspires me as an artist. That’s not always an easy question to answer since my art is a continual process of self-discovery. But I can tell you how I got into art and two things I’ve realized along the way that have helped me to continue creating.
I studied art in my hometown of Modena, Italy, where I began experimenting with colors, techniques, and various mediums to understand and express myself in the most accurate form of expression.
Pulling from my travels, exposure to diverse cultures, and my creative mind, my experiences in life would start to spark and later infuse my artistic work, and in 2017, I opened my art studio. There I began my journey as a professional artist.
My work reflects my continual and constant progression toward my true self, from modern collaboration and colorful contemporary art to my simplistic Black&Red series and AI digital art.
Dare to Dream is an expression I have adopted to represent one of the most important lessons I have learned on my journey. To have the courage to think the impossible, dream the undreamable, and be daring enough to bring my concept, viewpoints, and visions into reality to uplift and advance people through art.
I have realized the undeniable and infinite interconnection between art and life as the two parallel one another through existence, and so art is life, and life is art.
Out of art, I co-founded Awaken Asia, a group formed to help increase forgotten spiritual awareness; I am a board member of the African Youth for Human Rights and Citizenship Development Initiative through my organization B Your Self, and I own a marketing company.
Pleasantly flippant and creative, I enjoy a positive approach to life, where I believe that to be able to dream is to be able to do anything and that anything that the mind can envision can be brought to life. So, here’s to daring to dream and bringing about change through art.
